"Saved by the Bell" started out in the 80's as "Good Morning Miss Bliss."
It was renamed "Saved By The Bell" in the 90's and the focus was taken
off Hayley Mills and put on Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and his friends. The show aired on Saturday mornings and ended when the gang graduated.
That fall, it was spun off into two seperate series: "Saved By The Bell: The College Years" and "Saved By The Bell: The New
Class."

"Saved By The Bell: The College Years" started out where Zach and the gang go off to college, the show ended in a movie where Kelly and Zach go off and get married, truly showing that you never get over your first love. "The New Class" started the fall after "Saved By The Bell" ended, in the same timeslot as the original. The show starred a new gang of teenagers, with same old Mr. Belding (Dennis Haskins) as the principal. Every season the show got a new cast member or two, and in the third season, Screech (Dustin Diamond) came back to be Belding's administrative assistant. The show came to an end in 2000 as the class graduated and Mr. Belding retired. |
